11/08/2012 - 14:11

Dublin City Council is continuing its investigation into the cause of a bacterial contamination that has made drinking water unsafe for residents in Clontarf.
Up to 1400 homes in the area have been affected by the water restrictions for the last week
The problem came to light when routine testing by the council's laboratory showed high levels of bacteria in 16 houses.
People in the affected homes are advised to continue to boil water before drinking it, cooking with it or using it to brush their teeth.
