22/02/2012 - 07:47

The head of the IDA Barry O'Leary has said the targets set out in the Government's Action Plan on jobs can be achieved.

The document aims to create 100,000 new jobs by 2016, and Mr O'Leary said this is possible if all stakeholders play their part.

He also said Ireland is vying for up to eight major projects that could yield a significant number of jobs.

He also said the country is in a much better position than this time last year.
